“When the dog bites, when the bee stings, when I’m feeling sad, I simply remember my favourite things, and then I don’t feel so bad…”
Prone to magpie tendencies, I enjoy nothing more than musing – in pictures and in words – on a few of my favourite things.
I like sequins; musical theatre; handbags; afternoon tea; crime drama; leopard print; custard creams; movies on a rainy afternoon; chick lit; flowers; long walks on the beach; art nouveau; penguins; baking cakes; disco; pub quizzes; baseball; Puffin books; country music; the Muppets; belly laughs; female singer-songwriters; ducks; autumn leaves; Audrey Hepburn; feeding my garden birds; Daleks; reading in the bath; rom com; black and white photos; ponies; weekend minibreaks; Christmas; Haribo; Jackie magazine; dogs wearing sunglasses; butterflies; the Viennese waltz; bookshops; getting a bargain; snowy days; retro styling; and TV talent shows.
I dislike mushrooms; litter; coffee; people who whinge; cold calls; squirrels; weeds; chuggers; and goats cheese.

What can I say?! I’m British, so I drink tea. Lots of tea. It’s practically the law here… People who “whinge” are people who needlessly moan about stuff.
