On yer bike!

The Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games might have started in a heatwave but normal wet weather service had resumed by the end.

We found ourselves practically ankle-deep in rain water while watching the men’s cycling road race yesterday afternoon. Conditions were so bad that only 12 riders completed the 12-lap (172 km) course around the city, with Geraint Thomas taking gold for Team Wales.

Prone to magpie tendencies, I enjoy nothing more than musing – in pictures and in words – on a few of my favourite things.
