Clyde’s Trail

It seems that everyone has gone crazy for Clyde, the official mascot of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Replicas of the spiky headed scamp have been laid out as a trail that takes in 25 locations across the city. These Clydes are decked out in unique outfits designed by local school pupils to highlight Glasgow landmarks. Finding each Clyde along the trail and taking a selfie with him has become something of a Commonwealth Games sport in its own right.

Some keen and highly organised folk have already completed Clyde’s Trail, shamelessly bragging about it on social media. Unfortunately, I fell far short of the total but here are the Clydes I found while I was out and about in Glasgow during the games.

Prone to magpie tendencies, I enjoy nothing more than musing – in pictures and in words – on a few of my favourite things.

what do you think?
