Prague: Old Town and Jewish Quarter

The Old Town Square is the focal point of the city.

Take in the spectacle as the Town Hall Clock strikes the hour, then escape the herds of visitors on organised walking tours (of which there are many) by nipping down a side street. In no time at all, you will be far from the madding crowd, soaking up the ambience and marvellous architecture. The adjacent Jewish Quarter is packed full of art nouveau details. Don’t forget to stop for tea and cake in the Municipal House – the cake comes to your table on a trolley.

Prone to magpie tendencies, I enjoy nothing more than musing – in pictures and in words – on a few of my favourite things.

what do you think?
