Like England World Cup football songs, charity records can go one of two ways. I am, therefore, relieved to report that the 2011 single for BBC Children in Need errs rather more on the side of good than bad.

The Collective—a stellar group of urban artists cleverly brought together by elder statesman of pop Gary Barlow—has reworked Massive Attack’s Teardrop. Featured artists include Ed Sheeran, Wretch 32, Rizzle Kicks, Tinchy Stryder, Chipmunk, Ms Dynamite and Tulisa Contostavlos. Loving the video too.
